SHOPS and charities in Shanklin showed their sense of patriotism in style — bringing a splash of royal colour to the town in celebration of King Charles III's coronation.

Justyna Banachowska, co-owner of the Deli-Cious Polish and Eastern European delicatessen in the High Street, put up bunting to give it a more traditional British atmosphere ahead of the big event.

She said: "The Coronation is an important day and I wanted to do something to make it more special."

The Salvation Army produced a lovely royal display, which featured knitted items from some of the Regent Street shop's contributors.

Their charity Regent Street neighbours, the British Heart Foundation, looked equally regal with all their royal memorabilia in their window.

Antique and vintage retro shop, Worth a Look, had a shop frontage definitely worth a look, as was the Guy Hair Essentials salon.

Florists, All Seasons, look amazing at any time of year, but with some nice royal additions to their window display, it took it onto a higher level.

When it comes to effort and with a total commitment to celebrating the King's coronation, Glyn Morgan newsagents were top of the shops, with bunting and flags in almost every nook and cranny.
