I AM getting really annoyed at being sworn at, verbally abused and called rude names for doing nothing wrong.
Church Road, Erith, is two-way for traffic leaving the cul-de-sacs in Friday Road and Crusoe Road, the Alleys from those back entrances and Church Road residents.
I have checked this with the council highways department. There is no entry into Church Road from the Sandcliff Road end. Consequently, the residents of Sandcliff, Wheatsone and St Johns Roads cannot enter Church Road from that end.
Those residents therefore mistakenly believe Church Road is one way for the whole length. This is not true!
I hope this letter will allow Church, Crusoe and Friday Road residents to drive out without being insulted by oncoming drivers.
A sign saying two-way traffic at the entrance may help prevent a road-rage incident.
