ONE of the Island’s fastest-growing marine events has hit the double after picking up a second high-profile sponsor.
Earlier this month RIBEX, the world’s only boat show dedicated solely to RIBs and the associated adventure powerboat market, announced it had picked up a three-year sponsorship deal with Suzuki Marine.
Now organisers have done it again as they have secured Coastline Ribs to sponsor the show’s music festival.
Coastline Ribs, based in Hamble, will be the title sponsor for RIBFEST, a waterside music festival attached to the RIBEX show.
It is the first time in RIBEX’s 11-year history that it has hosted its own music event and is hitting the ground running as folk-rock superstar — Seth Lakeman — is headlining.
Coastline will undertake a world launch of their brand new model range of offshore craft.
Within the line-up, making its debut, will be an advanced 10-metre RIB, powered by twin Yamaha 315hp stern drives. RIBEX takes place in Cowes over the weekend May 7 to 9.
