BRADING Town are no nearer to escaping relegation from the Sydenhams Wessex League, Premier Division, after losing 3-2 at home to Lymington Town.
The Romans were 2-0 up thanks to goals from Will Quigley and Phil McDonald but mid-table Lymington added to Brading's woes by coming through to win.
In Division 1, a huge hail storm led to a break in play between Cowes Sports and Whitchurch Utd at Westwood Park.
But the Yachtsmen didn't let that, or the sending off of Patrick Wilson, get in the way of victory as they won 2-1.
They went ahead in the first minute when Dom Burbidge was fouled in the box, and Darren Williams scored the spot kick.
He netted a second 22 minutes later and although Whitchurch clawed one goal back, it was not enough.
