FORMER IW players Aleks Przespolewski and Tom Dunford added to Brading Town’s relegation worries by contributing to an 8-0 rout at the Peter Henry Ground on Saturday.

The Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division champions showed no mercy to the Romans, who now need four points from their remaining two matches to be safe from relegation.

Having already beaten Brading by the same score at home, Winchester peppered the Brading goal and despite the best efforts of Gareth True, were always in control.

Former Southampton player Jamie White opened the scoring, tapping in after True saved TJ McClory-Cuthbertson’s fiercely struck shot.

White then became creator, teeing up Chris Mason to give City a 2-0 advantage at the break.

Mason grabbed his second before Przespolewski’s quick free-kick allowed White to grab his second.

Dunford teed up Mills, before White grabbed his third and fourth of the game. His third was a cracking 20-yard strike. Dom Allen completed the rout after Dunford’s strike was well kept out by True.

Brading Town: True; Woodnutt, Quigley, Rann, Fleming, Lewis, Lawson, Wilson, Collins, Browne, Hayward. Subs: Hull.
