A young man was attacked with a knife on Saturday as he left Borehamwood and Elstree Station.

The 20-year-old, who was walking along Station Road at around midday, received slashes to his trousers and jacket during the assault, as well as punches to the head and chest.

He managed to walk to Borehamwood police station where he collapsed. He was taken to Barnet General Hospital by ambulance. He was released the same day.

The victim, who lives in Edgware, claims his attackers got on a train at Mill Hill station with him. They all then got off at Borehamwood where the pair set upon him, asking for money.

The suspects are both male and aged around 18. One is described as white, with a shaved head and wearing a bomber jacket. The other is of Mediterranean appearance and was wearing white trousers and a white T-shirt.
