22.26: That concludes our service today, come back tomorrow for more updates on athletics, shooting, swimming and the men's football semi-finals. The IW finish day four of the games with 13 gold, eight silver and 11 bronze.

22.25 - VOLLEYBALL: The IW men's team lost their final group match against the Cayman Islands 3-0, and will go through to a ninth/tenth place playoff on Friday.

20.20 - SHOOTING: Richard Wilson misses out on bronze in the men's 10m air rifle by six marks.

20.17 - ATHLETICS: Tom Wade wins the 3,000m steeplechase gold in style to defend his title, and the bronze goes to Will Newnham.

21.14 - BADMINTON - IW is guaranteed at least a silver medal in the ladies' singles, as Anna Showan defeats Greenland's Sara Jacobsen in straight sets. She faces Kiara Green, of Guernsey in the final.

20.10 - ATHLETICS: James Groocock wins bronze in the men's long jump with a leap of 7.20m, as Tom Wade and Will Newnham start their quest for medals in the 3,000m steeplechase.

19.36 ATHLETICS: Amy Church wins a gold medal in the ladies' hammer and Suzanne Clifton wins bronze in the ladies high jump.

19.37 TABLE TENNIS: George Downing is guaranteed at least a bronze medal by reaching the semi finals

19.33 - SWIMMING: The mens team won a thrilling bronze in the 4 x 100m metre medley.

18.44 - ARCHERY: Jim Frankum and Kevin Houghton fail to make the semi-finals of the head to head, Houghton missing out by just one point.

18.43 - SQUASH: Alex Phillips wins silver in the men's singles competition after losing to the number 1 seed from Jersey.

18.42 - TABLE TENNIS: We understand George Downing is guaranteed a bronze in the men's singles, by reaching the semi-finals.

17.17 - GOLF: The new men's results should read Brandon Thompson second on 137, George Foreman sixth on 145, Chris Reed 15th on 148 and Darren Masterton 19th, on 152.

17.11 - SHOOTING: The IW shooting team does it again with silver and bronze in the women's universal trench competition. Sally Anne Stay wins silver with a score of 56, just one off gold, while Pauline Wilson wins bronze with a score of 46.

17.10 - WINDSURFING: The first race is completed. Ash Wilson is tenth, Thomas Francis is 14th, Kyle Grant is 16th and James Evans is joint 17th.

17.09 - BADMINTON: Anna Showan has reached the semi-finals of the ladies' singles competition.

17.09 - GOLF: We understand some of the scores in the men's competition are incorrect. We will put the correct results on as soon as we get them.

16.32 - SAILING: Another race has been completed in the Laser Standard. Paul Bowen remains ninth but Ben Gibson has moved up to tenth. IW has moved up to sixth in the team event.

16.30  - ARCHERY: Things are moving quickly in the men's head to head and we still have two Islanders in it. Phillip Rackett has been knocked out but Jim Frankum and Kevin Houghton are both in the quarter-finals.

16.26 - GOLF: In the ladies' competition, Emma Powell now leads the pack after shooting 71 at Freshwater Bay. Sophie Beardsall is second, and Sammi Keen, fourth. Joanna Wright is 12th. Collectively they hold an astonishing 25-shot lead in the team event.

16.25 - GOLF: A little bit more information about the golf at the half way stage. In the men's competition, Brandon Thompson has dropped to second, behind Isle of Man's Paul Lowey, who shot four under par at Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club earlier. Chris Reed is joint ninth, George Foreman joint 19th, and Darren Masterton 22nd.

16.19 - TENNIS: Jonny Foulkes was knocked out of the men's singles' this morning by Bermuda's Gavin Manders, in straight sets.

16.16 - TABLE TENNIS: George Downing is in with a real medal shout after making the semi-finals of the men's singles. He beat Aland's Johan Pettersson in straight sets, the only quarter-finalist to do so. He plays his semi-final on Friday morning.

16.13: ARCHERY: All three IW men are through to the last 16 of the head to head competition. Kevin Houghton beat Ynys Mon's Richard Mathers 105-87, Phillip Rackett beat Isle of Man's Allan George 110-103, and Jim Frankum defeated Ryan Leith of the Shetland Isles 108-100.

15.32 - BADMINTON: Anna Showan makes the quarter final of the ladies' singles competition.

15.31 - TABLE TENNIS: George Downing is one match away from the quarter finals.

15.25 - SHOOTING: The IW's Adrian Williams came sixth in the men's individual Automatic Ball Trap final. Menorca won gold and silver in the event and Sark won the bronze medal.

14.26 - TABLE TENNIS: George Downing is through to the next round of the men's singles. Scott Lawson was just knocked out.

14.24 - GOLF: Great results for the IW in the ladies' golf. Emma Powell lead after round two, with Sophie Beardsall second, two shots behind and Sammi Keen is fourth.

14.00 - WINDSURFING: The windsurfing finally starts.

13.48 - SQUASH: Alex Phillips is guaranteed at least a silver medal in the men's singles squash, after reaching tonight's final. It's at the Westridge Centre at 6pm.

13.46 - GOLF: Brandon Thompson shot a 71, as did Chris Reed. Darren Masterton and George Foreman are still out.

13.45 - ATHLETICS: Kim Murray and Emily Newton qualify for the 200m final.

13.04 - ATHLETICS: Steven Carter and Ryan Tanswell qualify for the men's 400m final.

12.53 - SWIMMING: In the swimming the IW has made three finals. Paige Critchley in the 100m breaststroke, the ladies team in the 4 x 100m freestyle and the men's team in the 4 x 100m medley. They recorded the second fastest time.

12.51 - NatWest has announced they will continue their sponsorship of the Island Games until 2015.

12.49 - SAILING: The IW's Paul Bowen and Ben Gibson are in ninth and twelfth place respectively after the fifth round of the men's Laser Standard Rig.

12.44 - BASKETBALL: IW women lose 71-17 to Gibraltar.

12.33 - CYCLING: The men's road race cycling results are through. No medals for the IW but a top ten finish for Nic Hutchings and Kieran Page. Simon Ambrosini also finished but James Ebdon and Matt Tibbutt retired.

12.20 - The Earl of Wessex is leaving the athletics track, having chatted to athletes, including the IW team and spectators.

12.09 - SQUASH: In the fourth round of the women's singles competition the IW's Fleur Orchard beat Guerney's Natalie Dodd 3-0.

12.06 - BADMINTON: In the men's doubles competition, the IW's David Anderson and Ian Walder beat the

Jersey team 2-1, while Kesley Downer and Richard Gray beat the Gibraltar team 2-1.

11.59 - SQUASH: The IW's Pam Spreckly was beaten 0-3 by Chantelle Day of the Cayman Island in the fourth round of the women's singles squash.

11.55 - ATHLETICS: Claire Kiely came third for the IW in heat two of the women's 800m, while Carla Plowden-Roberts came fifth in heat one.  

11.49 - SWIMMING: The IW team (Sophie Alchin, Rosie Gard, Shannen Morris and Emily Orchard) came sixth in the women's 4 x 100m freestyle relay prelims today with an unconfirmed time of 4:12.16.

11.43 - SHOOTING: Matt Reed shoots the first perfect 50 in the pistol competitions, he was competing in the 25m standard free pistol tournament. He doesn't know his final placing yet.

10.49 - Due to technical problems we are experiencing our updates may be limited during the day.

10.27 - SAILING: Weather forecast for the sailing today is bright and sunny this morning with wind speeds of 5-6 knots, but will pick up to 13 knots by this afternoon. Windsurfers will race with any luck today.
