Island drivers are dreadful

LETTERS From David Ballard, Freshwater Bay:

OK. Enough of Island roads, landslip and PFI. What about Island drivers?

The novelty of Sunday drivers seven days a week soon wears thin.

I refer in particular to the speed controllers who progress steadily at 10mph below the given limit despite the clear view ahead and the road hogs who expect other drivers to get out of their way.

A particular local favourite is Bedbury Lane, Freshwater Bay.

A triangular sign is advisory to both parties. "Road narrows" is not an instruction to other drivers to give way.

And having passed though the pinch point, keep left, especially where there is plenty of room for two small cars to pass.

Keeping to the middle of the road and speeding ahead is at best discourteous and unhelpful.
