How disappointing it was to see that the IW Council chose not to decorate the High Street of Newport, our county town, in honour of the Queen during the Diamond Jubilee weekend celebration of her amazing 60-year reign.
The only decorations were individual flags from some businesses. Austerity? No! Someone just hadn't bothered to organise anything. How pathetic is that!
