Anthony Pozner scored an excellent win in the Tour Auto 98, an international event, attracting 220 entries of important historic race and sports cars from the USA, Japan and throughout Europe, that was held in France.

Driver Anthony, managing director of Hendon Way Motors, and navigator, David Forfar, won the Group 4 regularity section, after competing on four race circuits and four hill climb sections for four days in a 1965 E-Type Jaguar.

Most of the driving, between Dijon, Annecy and Vichy, connecting the circuits and hill climbs, was done on mainly wet, twisting mountain roads. An unexpected, intense hailstorm was encountered twice on the race circuits of Charade and Mas du Clos.

The Tour Auto is a retrospective event, formerly known as the Tour de France, featuring mainly Jaguar, Porsche and Ferrari marques and to be eligible, cars must ahve been of a similar specification and type to those competing in the origiunal Tour de Frances 26 years ago and before.
