LETTERS From Mrs Christine Cave, Newport:
MAY I thank all the people who opened their gardens to the public last weekend at Bonchurch.
The 12 gardens were a revelation. The owners were most charming and all the helpers kind and informative. The only sad thing was I found out the local village hall has to be sold to raise money for the upkeep of the churches in Bonchurch.
How very sad. A sign of the times, I fear.
