LETTERS From Tanja Rebel, East Cowes:

A BIG thank you to all who came to Frank James to help tidy up the grounds, as well as feeding and watering us all.

The day was a great success with fairly OK weather — despite the ominous forecast.

Many people turned up, some of whom had never been before and all agreed we need to save this building at all costs.

Our MP, Andrew Turner, came as well, officially for one hour but he ended up staying for two hours.

Mr Turner genuinely cares about the building and its future and he seemed to enjoy the gardening work as well. The visit has been filmed for Meridian Television.

Let’s hope that Mr Turner’s visit marks the turning point for the former Frank James Hospital, where it will soon come into its own again.
