Air ambulance lands at fire station

THE HAMPSHIRE and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance landed at Ryde fire station this morning (Wednesday).

The helicopter is understood to have been called to collect a patient from a road ambulance, to transfer them to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. The male patient had suffered a cardiac arrest.

The helicopter landed at about 9am.
