Hong Kong Express in Ryde.
A SEAFRONT restaurant will not be allowed to serve alcohol from a temporary bar during the scooter rally.
Ryde's Hong Kong Express restaurant applied to run a temporary bar at the front of its seafront premises during the scooter rally on the August bank holiday weekend.
At a hearing this afternoon (Monday), the Isle of Wight Council's licensing sub committee rejected the application over concerns about public safety.
