MORE than 5,000 cars made their way to Bestival yesterday (Thursday) and more are expected today.
Music fans from across the country are due to attend the event, which will be headlined tonight (Friday) by Florence + The Machine.

*16:25 Rowlands Lane is now a one-way road (north to south) in its entirety from Stroudwood Road through to the Downs Road. This means there is no access to the yellow or orange car parks from Downs Road. Diversion signs are in place to guide bestival-goers, according to the Isle of Wight Council.
15:39 The Red Funnel car ferry that had to return to Southampton due to a medical emergency left the port at 3.30pm.
The 4.30pm sailing from East Cowes to Southampton will be delayed by 30 minutes as a result and the 6pm from Southampton to East Cowes will also be delayed by around 30 minutes, according to the company's website.
15:19 The 3pm Red Funnel car ferry from Southampton to East Cowes has turned back due to a customer medical emergency and will be delayed, according to the company's travel Twitter feed.
15:15 The Island's roads are running as normal according to the Isle of Wight Council, with very little Bestival traffic.
The Red gate at Bestival has now reopened. Heavy traffic build up on the Downs Road. (It was closed for a short time because the car park was full)
The roads policing unit is continuing patrols near the Bestival site. Hampshire Constabulary said on its Facebook page "Keep your speed down in 30mph areas. Officers will take action against motorists breaking the law."
According to the Isle of Wight Council the majority of Bestival goers, 47,000 people, have now arrived on the site. However they are still recommending anyone not going to the event to avoid the area.
Parking restrictions at Appley Park car park have been lifted.
The cyclist injured in the collision at Apse Heath has been released from Hospital.
The Isle of Wight Council has reported that a "small" collision in Fairlee Road has caused slight delays.
There have been two road traffic collisions this morning.
According to police, they were called at 7:40 to Newport Road, Apse Heath after a car and cyclist collided. The cyclist has been taken to hospital.
"Moments later, a second car was involved in a rear-end collision with the first car. The driver of the second car received a minor injury," said a spokesman.
Traffic is now clear at the scene, according to police.
Parking restrictions have come into force at Appley Park car park, Ryde. Cars will only be allowed to park for one hour. This is due to be reviewed at 11am according to the Isle of Wight Council.
Speed checks are being carried out around the Bestival site and fines will be issued, police have warned.
37,000 people arrived on site last night, according to the Isle of Wight Council, which advised non-Bestival traffic to avoid the area. For travel advice issued by the council earlier this week, click here
There are no reported delays on ferry or hovercraft services, although Wightlink has a revised timetable in operation throughout Bestival. For details click here
Ryde pier will be closed to traffic between 10am and 6pm.
