POLICE searching for missing Isle of Wight man Sam Perkis have found a body today (Wednesday).
The body was found in the Playstreet Lane area of Ryde at about noon, a police spokesman said.
Although formal identification has yet to take place, the family of Mr Perkis has been informed.
Mr Perkis has been missing since Sunday and concern was mounting for his well-being.
His family had today issued a heartfelt appeal for him to return.
Police said they were not treating the discovery of the body as suspicious.
