A PUBLIC performance showcasing the talents of adults and young people with disabilities takes place in Newport on Wednesday (July 30).

Theatre group Wight Blue Sky Arts will be staging Alice in Boogie Wonderland at Medina Theatre during the afternoon.

The popular group, which helps instil confidence in adults and children with learning difficulties through the arts, recently moved to new premises in Wootton after outgrowing its previous home at Newport’s Riverside Centre.

Steph Wilmott-Saphin, who launched Wight Blue Sky Arts, said: "After seven years of success at the Riverside Centre, we were simply bursting at the seams."

Alice in Boogie Wonderland will be performed at 2pm. There is no ticket charge, although donations are invited. All are welcome.
