FORMER Southern Vectis boss Marc Morgan Huws will not be returning to run the company.
The Go South Coast group, which owns the Isle of Wight bus company, confirmed Mr Morgan Huws — a former leader of the Isle of Wight Council — had left the company.
In a surprise move Mr Morgan Huws was earlier this year transferred to run part of the group’s mainland coach operation.
In February, as reported by the County Press, the company said the mainland role was expected to last for several months.
As part of the shake-up at the top Southern Vectis’s commercial manager Tanya Simms was also reported to be on 'gardening leave.’
A Go South Coast spokesman said it was company policy not to comment on individual employees.

Perhaps whoever takes over this job will scrap the early morning restrictions on the buses for pensioners ,they may be needed on the mainland but are only a pain on the Island when there are large amounts of people trying to get on at 9/30 which causes bunch ups of buses even in the winter let alone the summer for know apparent reason except copying the mainland .

Southern Vectis is a well run company which compares well with many other mainland companies. It is however rather unusual to use the term `gardening leave` in any connection with staff changes. Why cannot Southern Vectis simply tell users what is going on?
