Can you solve mystery of photos under bed?

One of the mystery photos.

A WOMAN is trying to identify the owner of a collection of old photographs, discovered in an Isle of Wight building.

The photos, thought to date from the 30s and 40s, were found in an old shoebox in a building in Star Street, Ryde, while it was being demolished before the site was developed into Southlands Mews four years ago.

Worker Ian Hallet found the box during the demolition and gave it to his partner, Angela Whitmarsh, of New Road, Brading, who left it under her bed and rediscovered it while moving house last week.

The photo album is inscribed "To darling Gaggs. From Phyllis, with love" and there is also a letter sent from the War Memorial Hospital, in Andover.

There is also a collection of photographs, including one marked Edith S. Howard, 74 High Street, Andover.

Surely the picture at the top left, is of a male, as is the middle right. I guess therefore, so is the bottom right.

For many years there was a couple who lived on the ground floor of, what was then, 'Southlands'. They were called Lily and Frank. I believe they were still living there up until the time of the redevelopment and by then were probably in their 70s or 80s. The lady in the top, top left, middle right and bottom right photos appear to be the same person... I think this could be Lily. It's possible that the gentleman in the uniform is a young Frank. I have no idea what happened to them when the redevelopment took place.

Oops that should have read Edith is showing...
Looking at Google images for Charles Howard Photographer of Andover. He also worked in Chichester. An image appears of an early 20th century photo depicting three young women. The middle girl shows a resemblance to the girl sitting on a wall above.

Edith Sarah Howard was born 1887 in Andover. Her father Charlie Howard was a professional photographer and Sarah is showing as a photographer's assistant on the 1911 census.
Great photos. Hope more info comes to light.
