This picture, showing a mud covered reveller on the opening day of the Isle of Wight Festival, has become one of the iconic images of the event. Picture by Jennifer Burton.
FROM the stars on stage to the mud covered fans, the Isle of Wight County Press team captured the action at this year's Isle of Wight Festival.
Chief photographer captured one of the iconic images of this year's event, a mud-soaked girl unfazed by the terrible weather on Thursday.
The picture went on to be used in six national newspapers, including the front page of The Independent.
See more of the action from this weekend in our online galleries.

I am a follower of unsigned bands, and after reading your Festival supplement I was eager to watch two Island bands who had won slots at the festival. I managed to watch 'The Signals' on saturday, but on sunday we were not allowed into the site!!! We heard 'Naked Fridays', but could not watch them, and they had to play to an empty arena. How disgusting! I saw 'Naked Fridays' Cowes week last year, on the parade and was very impressed with them. I was delighted to see that they were performing at this years Festival, but through no fault of my own I was denied the experience. When can I watch them perform again? Next years Festival?
