Lifeboatman Chris Cockroft with the Ella's crew after taking aboard a tow-rope. CONTRIBUTED
A YACHT carrying four crew had to be rescued due to a problem with its propeller this morning (Sunday).
The yacht, a 20ft Ella, was heading from the Folly in the River Medina to Gosport when the mishap occurred, at around 7.15am.
The crew, comprising three men and a woman, was taking down sails while the engine was running, when the jib sheet became entangled in the propeller.
Solent Coastguards alerted Cowes RNLI lifeboat, which towed the yacht to Cowes Yacht Haven.
