Crowds enjoy summer sounds of Steps

OSBORNE House was rocking to the sounds of Steps on Saturday night.

Thousands of people packed onto the Durbar Lawn and were taken on a trip down memory lane, as the five-strong group played out some of their new hits and plenty of classics.

The event, introduced by Paul Topping and Stuart McGinley from Isle of Wight Radio, kicked off with performances from girl bands Concrete House and Vanquish, before the flamboyant Ukrainian, Kamaliyan, added a bit of techno-pop.

People who had bought tickets for Sunday night's Tom Jones concert, which he cancelled due to illness, were able to use their tickets at the Steps gig.

And many concert-goers took picnics along to make the most of the stunning setting and the glorious sunshine.
