A 58-year-old man died at an Isle of Wight pub at the weekend.

The man was found in the Folly Inn, Whippingham, on Sunday (20) morning and was declared dead at 7.45am by an ambulance crew.

A post-mortem found he had died of natural causes and no inquest will be held.

A Greene King spokesperson said: "This has obviously been deeply upsetting for all those connected with the pub.

"We are doing all we can to assist the authorities with their enquiries and our thoughts are very much with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time."
