Early 2013 for forest turbine decision

So you think I should be forced to up root and move to the mainland so someone can make a profit from my loss, a loss that would not be entirely financial. I agree with what you say about your childrens rights but what about the rights of those who would suffer, would you like us all to move to the mainland? If we were all to accept development of any kind, do you really think the world would be a better place for your children? There are far less intrusive forms of green energy which should be considered before this type of development is needed. If you have any doubt of its level of uglyness, just have a look at some of the existing wind farms. I am all in favour of green energy but you have to ask yourself why on this particular proposed site.

@Neil Jacks. Wen you talk about houses as an investment then maybe you compound my position. An investment would suggest that you have some collateral put into something with an eventual increase in return. If your home is an investment, then do as most successful investors do and get your returns now before the substantial crash in property prices. You could always then take your loot and " invest" in cheaper properties elsewhere. Mainland perhaps? Being a man of obvious financial savvy and wherewithal this is a no brainer. And furthermore, when it comes to people's rights to devalue other people's possessions , your vote against turbines etc is riding roughshod over my children's rights to live in a green and pleasant land.

oh and by the way being a nimby is the only way to protect your interests, no one will do it for you!

Why would any one want these things. As regards your house price dropping, well yes, it would unlike your electricity bill. Why should anyone have the right to devalue your home which is everyones major investment. These things are ugly, noisy and of no benefit to the community and its about time we all stood together as a community to stop unneccesary development of any kind.

ONCE their is a whiff of a wind farm or its likes YOU can kiss goodbye selling at ANY price any where in a 5 mile radius. UNLESS you would like to by it? When is it that OUR council and PfR and their consultants going to GET it WE DO NOT WANT them on OUR island.

Why do people who object to wind farms keep banging on about house prices falling etc? If you aren't planning on moving then the drop in price is irrelevant and if you are leaving, go now before any potential losses. Simples!

Whoa you two! I am Chief Nimby? I'd thought you would have known that. Having seen off 3 previous wind farms.

I am sick of hearing about US NIMBYs. If it wasn't for US NIMBYs they would still be putting children up chimneys. WHY dont you say where you live and we they can put a turbine in YOUR back garden. What a view to look out on. THEN see if YOU can sell YOUR house? Turbines are SO **** they dont work when theirs NO wind and when there is too much they have to turn them off and when they do that the power companies get PAID for loss of usage.
