ISLE of Wight Fire and Rescue, ambulance and police will be put to the test tonight (Tuesday) in a staged major traffic collision.
The exercise will take place at BAE Systems on Newport Road, Cowes, and has been designed to test the response of the Island's emergency services.
A spokesman for the multi-agency Island Resilience Forum, which is behind the exercise, said: "It is important that our emergency services on the Island are prepared for all eventualities.
"We'd like to apologise in advance for any noise from the BAE Systems site during the exercise."
The exercise starts at 5.45pm and finishes at 9.30pm.

Fair play to all our emergency services. How they cope with such c**p roads is beyond me. Well done to them!

I think that we all realise what a great service they provide, often under very difficult circumstances. Big thank you from me & my family.
