RED Funnel has chartered an extra ferry to increase foot passenger capacity for Bestival.
The company said it would charter the ferry to run 60 extra sailings for passengers between Thursday, September 5, and the following Monday.
It will increase the passenger-carrying capacity by 25 per cent.
This year’s tenth anniversary festival hosts headliners Elton John and his band, Fatboy Slim and Snoop Dogg, as well as Franz Ferdinand.
l For a limited time festival goers can get 15 per cent off ferry travel when buying official Bestival tickets with Red Funnel at www.redfunnel.co.uk/bestival

Why don't you clear off to a land where ferries have no relevance, Birmingham, Manchester or Leeds for example, give us all a rest and GO AWAY.

So, it's the IOW Council's job to build a fixed link ???? I'm sure if there ever was one, then the IOW Council would soon become Hampshire South. So, back to the drawing board on that one I think.....

It no longer seems to be a question of whether or not we have a fixed link but rather a question of how soon we can

Pity that the ferry companies DONT think of US islanders for 365 days of the year that same ? OH l forget we are a captive market and have NO alternative than to use their OVER priced cattle truck service when we need to get OFF the island.....SO come on IoW council we need a FIXED link and we need it NOWr..
