WOMEN in Harlow are being urged to visit the mobile breast screening unit at Princess Alexandra Hosptial before it moves to Bishop's Stortford in the next few weeks.

The unit has been offering mammograms to local women over the past six months but will soon move into the grounds of Herts and Essex Hospital in Haymeads Lane, Bishop's Stortford.

The unit's office manager, Janet Skeys, is urging women aged between 50 and 64, who have not had a routine mammogram, to contact the unit to arrange an appointment.

She said: "We have had our mobile vehicle in the grounds of Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow and have been seeing many hundreds of women during our stay there, but we're now moving on over the next few weeks to the grounds of Herts and Essex Hospital.

"It will be another three years before the mobile unit returns to the town, so we're urging women to come along in the next few weeks."
