A MAN has been rescued from the swash channel in Portsmouth Harbour after falling from an Isle of Wight ferry.
The French national had boarded the ferry in Portsmouth shortly before he ended up in the water yesterday (Monday).
A Solent Coastguard spokesman said a lifeboat and the helicopter were sent to the scene after the ferry crew reported they had a man overboard.
