A FIRE destroyed a car this afternoon (Thursday).
Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called to Clarence Road, East Cowes, at around 2.10pm, where a silver Citroen was alight.
One fire engine from Newport attended the scene and the fire was out by 2.40pm.
Estate agent, Simon Daniels, photographed firefighters tackling the blaze.
He said: "I saw smoke coming from the bonnet and within about ten minutes the whole thing was alight."
