"Floating Bridge Suspended": Sounds like a David Blaine magic trick!

Neil, seriously the Duck (DUKW) idea could work on the island, just think how many slipways there are on the island it could use, not only between E. Cowes and Cowes, you could run a coastline taxi service, say Yarmouth to Cowes, Puckpool to Ventnor beaches, Totland to Colwell (where the sea wall has now gone) Colwell to Yarmouth, and up and down the rivers too! You could come up at Newport Quay and tour round town, Marc Tuckey could do the ghost tour at night on a Duck! Puckpool Park of the dead could have a Duck running over the Zombies! The ideas are endless and would attract many visitors! I actually went on a WW2 DUKW on Sandown or Shanklin beach back in the 1970s when they did trips out around the bay, amazing. As for Duck Dynasty? Is that like an aquatic bird version of Dallas? Does the family argue over Duck oil? Isle of Wight Duck (DUKW) tours, bring it on!

What this island needs for high tides where the floating bridge wont run, is one of those six-wheel-drive amphibious yellow trucks like they have in London & Liverpool. A Duck (DUKW).Simply load the cars on a floating trailer on the slipway and tow them across and up the other side. The Duck could also do tours around Cowes and there could also be a Duck in the River Medina doing tours, what a great money maker that would be :)Does anyone with a navy style beard fancy the job of being Duck Commander?
