EVERYONE is urged to keep Village Day Saturday, July 13 free. There will be a procession of floats in the morning. In the afternoon there will be stalls and entertainment in the recreation ground. Plenty of volunteers are required. Anyone who would like to help please contact Elaine George.

THE recent charity lunch in aid of Multiple Sclerosis, not Muscular Dystrophy, raised £311. My apologies for the error.

SIXTY people attended HAGAs latest meeting when Maurice Young of BBOWT spoke about the wildlife of the Chilterns and accompanied his talk with interesting slides. The next meeting will be on Friday, March 8, which is not the usual day. Stan Armstrong will give a talk entitled Chasing Shadows.

JESSIE Morris was congratulated on her 90th birthday last Thursday. Friends, Sylvia and Audrey, organised a wonderful party for her. Any birthday ending with a nought is significant but the older you get, the more the nought is impressive.

THE Good Companions' April meeting has had to be rearranged and will now be on Thursday, April 11.

HUGHENDEN Art Group meet this evening for work on still life. On Monday, March 11 they will be drawing stonework in buildings and walls. On Monday, March 18 they will be inspired by Michael York to do a boat scene and their popular all day Saturday Workshop next falls on March 23, led by Rosina Flower.
