A FLOOD alert has been issued for Monkton Mead Brook in Ryde by the Environment Agency.
According to the Environment Agency's website: "Heavy rainfall over the past four hours has led to a rapid rise in river level. Environment Agency staff are currently on site at Monktonmead Pumping Station. Further heavy rainfall is expected throughout the rest of the day so local flooding directly from the river is possible."
