Flood alert for coastal areas

A FLOOD alert has been issued for parts of the Isle of Wight tonight (Monday).

The Environment Agency issued the flood alert shortly before 6pm, warning that high winds and tides could lead to flooding in some areas.

High water is expected shortly before midnight and winds are expected to reach Force 5, up to 24mph.
