A FLOOD alert has been issued for the Eastern Yar today (Sunday).
The Environment Agency issued the alert for the Isle of Wight river at around 9.50am.
It includes the Eastern Yar and its tributaries from Whitwell to Bembridge.
A flood alert means that flooding is possible and residents should be prepared.

Thanks for the heads up. However, is it really necessary to tell us what an alert is? Or do we have a large volume of idiots reading the CP?
