Dulwich battled their way to a valuable point in atrocious conditions at fellow relegation contenders Aylesbury on Saturday.

With sides below them continuing to pick up points the result did not ease either side's fears. And with a testing three games in five days coming up for Hamlet they are in danger of being sucked into the bottom few.

In a game of few chances the home side nearly took the lead early on when Steve Butler blazed over when well placed. Hamlet's best chance of the half saw Mark Tivey's left wing cross narrowly evade both Richard Thompson and Jamie Ndah and flash across goal.

Aylesbury came closest to stealing the points when Ricky Sullivan hit the inside of the post with a well struck drive in the 53rd minute.

But Hamlet also had a good chance of their own late on when home keeper Andy Lomas was forced into a fine save from Steve Restarick.

And although both Oxford and Hitchin looked doomed the third drop spot is wide open.
