A BAR has been given the green light to host live music events this summer, subject to conditions.
Joe's in Union Street, Ryde has been given permission to hold live music events on June 16, July 13 and August 18 after applying for three Temporary Event Notices (TENs).
The Isle of Wight Council's licensing sub-committee met to discuss the application this afternoon (Monday) and granted permission, subject to conditions for each event.
The police had raised concerns about noise disturbance and among the conditions imposed by the committee was a requirement that the front doors must be kept closed after 10pm, to minimise the disturbance to neighbours.
For the July 13 and August 18 events, the bar must comply with conditions attached to its premises licence, which include completing sound proofing work.
