An open day has been held at the site of the new arts and leisure centre in Elstree Way, Borehamwood.
The day, attended by representatives of Hertsmere Borough Council and other organisations, was aimed at updating residents on the progress of the multi-million pound project.
The event was organised by HBG Construction, the company responsible for building the extensive scheme.
Displays, photographs and models of the new building were on show for visitors, who were able to view the construction site and glean an idea of what the centre will eventually look like.
A presentation was also made describing the development plans followed by a questions and answers session.
Manager at HBG, Brian Grufferty, said: "We are delighted to meet and answer questions from our neighbours. We see this event as part of our commitment to the local community."
The development will include a 25-metre pool, health and fitness facilities, a dance studio and an auditorium.
The pool is due for completion early next year and the rest by spring the following year.
