AN investigation has been launched after rubbish and building materials were dumped at an Isle of Wight beauty spot.
The Isle of Wight Council said it was working with police to investigate fly-tipping at St George’s Down, Arreton.
Isle of Wight Council regulatory services manager Amanda Gregory, said: "Fly-tipping is not only unsightly but can be damaging to public health and the environment.
"Our environmental health team, in conjunction with the police, are investigating how the waste arrived on St George’s Down and would appeal to anyone with information to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
