The man police would like to speak to in connection with the stolen camera.
AN INVESTIGATION has been launched by police following the theft of a camera from a Chinese student.
Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place at around 7.20pm on Thursday, April 19.
The victim, a 24-year-old woman, was taking photographs with a group of friends on Ryde pier, as she walked away she realised she had left her camera at one of the shelters.
When she went back to pick it up it had been taken, a police spokesman said.
"After viewing CCTV footage of the pier it is believed the man in the CCTV image may have information relating to the camera’s whereabouts," the spokesman added.
