A HOUSE party that spiralled out of control has left a landlord with a £7,000 repair bill.

The owner of the tenanted property in Reed Street, Oakfield, said toilets had been smashed and carpets ruined after the party, last Friday.

As previously reported, police were called to the scene when hundreds of youths descended on the area after the party was advertised on Facebook.

Disorder later spread to Newport and eight people aged between 14 and 24 years old have been arrested.

Video footage of the disorder can be seen below.

Anyone with information can contact Newport Police Station on 101.
