SQUASH.

With four team members fresh from the British National Championships, Colets continued their steamrollering of the opposition in the Surrey Cup by handing Woking a 4-1 beating at Thames Ditton.

If the visitors had any dreams of reversing the decision in the first part of the season, they were quickly turned into nightmares as Scott Handley and Dave Peck ruthlessly sent their opponents packing 3/0.

Scott Handley was in no mood to be kind against Woking's Adrian Jaski, playing incisive, error-free squash that Jaski could not handle. He won in 25 minutes 9-0, 9-0, 9-1.

Team captain Dave Peck, playing at fourth string, put Colets two rubbers up, beating Dave Wallond for the loss of just six points with some of the best squash he's played all season. Ben Williams, seemed a much stronger player than Wolland and although Colets' Dave Clarke was playing well- he'd reached the quarter finals of the national Over 40s championships - Williams overcame Clarke's superb placement and control to win 9-5, 9-2, 9-0.

Greg Pearman, a quarter finalist in the national over 35 championships, took his first two games 9-2, 9-2. Then he relaxed, allowing Dave Stanton back in the game and he grabbed it to win 9-7.

But the effort took it's toll and Pearman strolled home 9-1.

With the match already won, there was no pressure at all on Danny Meddings, who contained the tough Neil Frankland in three games 10-8, 9-3, 9-8, to wrap up Colets victory, their sixth 4/1 victory to go with the four 5/0 whitewashes. The record now reads 10 wins and one loss to give them a huge lead at the top of the table.
