WIVES, partners, family and friends of loved ones serving with the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment (PWRR) will be using their tiger feet to raise cash for the dependants of soldiers who have been either killed or injured in Afghanistan.

The tiger-themed fancy dress walk will begin at Matalan car park in Newport and end at the Isle of Wight Zoo, Sandown.

The event, which will be held either on Sunday, April 15 or 22, has been organised by Samantha Millard, whose partner Pte Owen Horton, of 1 PWRR is currently serving a tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Miss Millard, of Albert Street, Ventnor, has already gained support from families and friends associated with members of 1 PWRR on the Island, mainland and as far afield as Germany, where the unit is based, through a Tigers Facebook page.

Anyone interested in taking part in the fundraiser should contact Miss Millard on 07936 707008 or by e-mail: samantha201@o2email.co.uk
