PARTY in the Park in Wootton has been cancelled due to the weather.
The annual event, which was due to take on Saturday at Wootton Recreation Ground has been called off because the ground is too wet following recent heavy rain.
Wootton Bridge Parish Council chairman, Ken Morris, said: "We are very disappointed, because a lot of hard work has been put into organising the event.
"Unfortunately, it is just too wet and we have had to make a decision early rather than later. It is a huge shame."
Mr Morris said discussions will be taking place about possibly holding an indoor event later in the year.
