POLICE on the Isle of Wight investigating explosions thought to have been caused by homemade fireworks have arrested a teenager.
The 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.
Three loud bangs were heard around the Sandown area between 7.30pm on Friday and 2.30am on Saturday, according to police.
The third explosion was heard in the vicinity of Perowne Way and police reported some minor damage to property.
The teenager has been bailed to report back to a police station on Friday, March 3, pending further investigation.
