POLICE officers and staff across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight are due to pay tribute to PC Nicola Hughes this afternoon, by observing a minute's silence.

At 1pm, officers and staff are due to gather outside police stations to observe the silence.

Police flags have been flown at half-mast today (Wednesday) to mark the funeral of PC Hughes, who was killed in the line of duty with colleague PC Fiona Bone in Manchester last month.
