RUGBY players and school children have been among those to back an effort to get people to sign up to the bone marrow donor register today (Thursday).
The Rally for Ronnie at Sandown and Shanklin Rugby Club in Sandown has been organised by the family and friends of Ronnie Manders, a 14 month old who needs a bone marrow transplant.
They have appealed for people to join the donor register by attending today's event.
The event has the support of players from the Sandown and Shanklin Hurricanes team and school pupils, who have been adding their names to the register.
The event is due to run until 7pm today. For more information click here.
