Red Jet 5. File.
A RED Jet collided with a buoy this morning (Thursday) and has been removed from service.
Red Funnel said it was operating a one vessel passenger service between the Isle of Wight and Southampton following the collision between Red Jet 5 and the Hythe Knock buoy on the 5.45am crossing to Cowes.
The company said no-one was injured.
*An hourly service will operate at 15 minutes past the hour from Cowes and 45 minutes past the hour from Southampton, while Red Funnel carries out investigations, a spokesman said.
The spare ship, Red Jet 3, is undergoing an annual refit.
The Southampton to East Cowes vehicle service is unaffected.
