Revised Solent service in operation

WIGHTLINK is continuing to run a revised service on its FastCat crossings due to an engine failure on Wight Ryder II.

Today (Wednesday) to Friday sailings at quarter past the hour from Portsmouth and 47 minutes past the hour from Ryde, Isle of Wight, will be run by Wight Ryder I.

The following sailings will be operated by the Solent Cat with a crossing time of around 25 minutes:

Wednesday and Thursday

From Portsmouth Harbour:  7.40am, 8.40am, 9.40am, 3.40pm, 4.40pm, 5.40pm and 6.45pm.

From Ryde Pier Head:  7.10am, 8.10am, 9.10am, 4.10pm, 5.10pm and 6.10pm.

Friday

From Portsmouth Harbour:  7.40am, 8.40am, 9.40am, 10.40am 3.40pm, 4.40pm, 5.40pm and 6.45pm, 7.45pm.

From Ryde Pier Head:  7.10am, 8.10am, 9.10am, 10.10am, 11.10am, 4.10pm, 5.10pm and 6.10pm, 7.15pm.

Wightlink apologised for any inconvenience caused and said passengers concerned about their sailing could call Wightlink reservations on 0871 376 1000.

Hovertravel has also run a revised timetable this morning due to technical difficulties, leading to the cancellation of six crossings.
