TWO youths who, as part of a gang, terrorised youngsters travelling on the Metropolitan Line between Watford and Harrow, robbing them of cash and mobile phones, have been warned to expect prison sentences.

Appearing for trial on eight charges, including six robberies, at Isleworth Crown Court, offences committed within a few days last June, the pair gave very limited admissions, had most of the charges against them dropped, and were remanded on bail for pre-sentence reports.

Waheed Shikha, 20, from Willesden, and a 17 year old from Neasden who cannot be named for legal reasons, both admitted robbing a young teenaged boy of his Sony Walkman, Nokia mobile phone and a Nationwide cash card on June 13.

A charge of kidnapping the same boy by keeping him on the train, was "left on the file" when prosecutor Geoffrey Birch said it was all part of the robbery.

Shikha alone admitted robbing another youngster on the same tube line on June 15 and the 17 year old admitted receiving a wrist-watch taken in a robbery of another youth on June 21.

No evidence was offered against Shikha on four other charges of robbery and against the teenager on one other charge when Mr Birch said witnesses had failed to identify them on parades other than by description.

They will both be sentenced at the end of March when, Judge Andrew McDowall told them: "All options will remain open, particularly custody when it comes to offences of robbery."
