Rise in unemployment

THE number of Jobseeker's Allowance Claimants on the Isle of Wight has risen for the second month in a row.

The figures, released by the Office of National Statistics (ONS) today (Wednesday), showed the number of claimants had increased by 35.

The total number of claimants in September was 2,994 compared with 2,959 in August.

Every month the CP prints this ONS graph which just shows the seasonal trend. Is this really news? We all know the summer work dries up in October.
